WHAT IS LOVE?

Life is never interesting without understanding the meaning of LOVE. Life always rests on LOVE that is why whoever wants to enjoy life must understand the meaning of LOVE. WHAT IS LIFE? Life is an existence. Hebrew 13vs8 tells us that there is a being who never changes, the one who has been in existence before the heaven was formed. Living in existence without the reference of the existence Himself makes our existence a mystery.

Back to LOVE, this is an unseen feeling to go beyond extra ordinary so as to satisfy others, not expecting anything in return. John 3vs16

LOVE can be expressed in divers of ways. It does not choose whom to LOVE. When you start choosing who to LOVE, it means the LOVE is conditional. DO YOU "LOVE" THE PROSTITUTE, SMOKERS, DRUG ADDICTS, FORNICATORS, ADULTERERS, IDOLATERS?
You don't need to LOVE what they do but LOVE them as an individual not seeing their sins but seeing them living a changed life.
For example, in my own case, I rarely see people who encourage me day by day so I build up an encouragement in me that gave me the grace to encourage and advise others also.

Many people out there are rejected, living mysteriously thereby falling into sins always. These people need our UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. The more we pray for them and show that JESUS LOVES them, the nearer salvation is bought to them.
Matthew 5vs14, tells us that we are the light of the world, meaning that we can not afford to hide ourselves. Let us show unconditional LOVE to people.
Some christians always pick quarrels with their neighbours, church members, colleagues at work. If you are among those so called 'christians' please repent and let people start seeing the light in you.

QUALITIES OF LOVE

1. Listening Heart (Patience)
2. It is always supportive (Adding value to others) Matthew 5vs16
3. It forgives easily
4. It defends
5. It is merciful
6. It is faithful (It does not jilt)
7. It is spiritual (unseen feelings)
8. It is unconditional (If it is conditional, them it is FAKE or DECEPTION)
8. It is sacrificial
9. It is considerate (Grace) Ephesians 2vs8

Failure to walk in all of these is very endangering to our christian race.

PRAYER: Father, have mercy on me in any area I have not met up to your standard and give me the grace to walk in unconditional LOVE for/with people in JESUS NAME

Love and Happiness By Stella Damasus

Stella Damasus love and happiinessI was again reading one of my favourite books titled What I Know For Sure written by Oprah Winfrey; someone I still look up to and admire despite all that has been said about her religion.
Fact is, she has more encouraging things to say compared to all the people who claim to be HOLY.
There is a quote in the book that touches me every time I read it so I have decided to share it with you.
“Happiness is never something you get from other people. The happiness you feel is in direct proportion to the love you give.”
She added that: “For a long time, whenever I would say or do something that went against my better self, I would try to justify it that way. What I didn’t understand is that all of your actions, both good and bad, come back to you and most often not from the people you are acting toward.”
For every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction. In THE COLOR PURPLE, the character Celie explained it to Mister: “Everything you try to do to me, already done to you.”
Your actions revolve around you as surely as the earth revolves around the sun. The more conscious I became of this, the more quickly my actions came back.
Today I try to do well and be well with everyone I reach or encounter. I make sure I use my life for that which can be goodwill. Yeah, this has brought me great wealth. More importantly, it has fortified me spiritually and emotionally.
When people say they are looking for happiness, I ask, ‘What are you giving to the world?’
I’ll never forget this couple who appeared on my show. The wife couldn’t understand why their relationship had broken down. She kept saying, “He used to make me so happy, He doesn’t make me happy anymore.”
What she couldn’t see was that she was the cause of her own effect. Happiness is never something you get from other people. The happiness you feel is in direct proportion to the love you are able to give.
If you think something is missing in your life or you’re not getting what you deserve, remember that there’s no Yellow Brick Road. You lead life; it doesn’t lead you.
See what comes into your life when you spend extra time with your children. Let go of your anger with your boss or your co-worker and see what gets returned. Be loving to yourself and others and see that love reciprocated.
This rule works every time, whether or not you are aware of it. It occurs in little things, big things, and the biggest things.
This is the part I want you to read and meditate on. Many people blame other people, things or situations for their
unhappiness but they don’t realize that the truth of the matter is that they are really unhappy because they have decided to give that problem front seat in their lives.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that in life when some certain things come your way you are not allowed to have a moment of sober reflection and think about them. No, that’s perfectly fine but then letting them take total control of your life is an entirely different ball game.
Love yourself, love others around you and I can bet you that you will be happier with yourself, your life, those around you, the things you do and so much more.
She ended this part with a very strong message that I would use as my quote for today.
Quote: What you’re thinking, what you’re saying, what you’re doing, is having an impact on you and the people around you right now —Oprah Winfrey.

Let go!

A cheerful little girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box.

"Oh mommy please, Mommy. Can I have them? Please, Mommy, please."

Quickly the mother checked the back of the little foil box and then looked back into the pleading blue eyes of her little girl's upturned face.

"A dollar ninety-five. That's almost $2.00. If you really want them, I'll think of some extra chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them for yourself. Your birthday's only a week away and you might get another crisp dollar bill from Grandma."
As soon as Julie got home, she emptied her penny bank and counted out 17 pennies. After dinner, she did more than her share of chores and she went to the neighbor and asked Mrs. Mac James if she could pick dandelions for ten cents. On her birthday, Grandma did give her another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the necklace.
Julie loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown up. She wore them everywhere, Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed. The only time she took them off was when she went swimming or had a bubble bath. Mother said if they got wet, they might turn her neck green.
Julie had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read her a story. One night as he finished the story, he asked Julie,

"Do you love me?"
"Oh yes, daddy. You know that I love you."

"Then give me your pearls."
"Oh, daddy, not my pearls. But you can have Princess, the white horse from my collection, the one with the pink tail. Remember, daddy? The one you gave me. She's my very favorite,"
"That's okay, Honey, daddy loves you. Good night."
And he brushed her cheek with a kiss.

About a week later, after the story time, Julie's daddy asked again,

"Do you love me?"
"Daddy, you know I love you."

"Then give me your pearls."
"Oh Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my baby doll. The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is beautiful and you can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper."
"That's okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one.

Daddy loves you."
And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss.
A few nights later when her daddy came in, Julie was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed Indian style. As he came close, he noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her cheek.
"What is it, Julie? What's the matter?"
Julie didn't say anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she opened it, there was her little pearl necklace. With a little quiver, she finally said,
"Here, daddy, this is for you."
With tears gathering in his own eyes, Julie's daddy reached out with one hand to take the dime store necklace, and with the other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Julie.

He had them all the time. He was just waiting for her to give up the dime-store stuff so he could give her the genuine treasure. So it is, with our Heavenly Father. He is waiting for us to give up the cheap things in our lives so that He can give us beautiful treasures.

Isn't God good? Are you holding onto things that God wants you to let go of? Are you holding on to harmful or unnecessary partners, relationships, habits and activities that you have come so attached to that it seems impossible to let go? Sometimes it is so hard to see what is in the other hand but do believe this one thing.
God will never take away something without giving you something better in its place.

The Christian Home- Roles and Responsibilities Of Partners

Prayer: Father we thank You for today, and we give You all the praise and all adoration for Your faithfulness; thank You Lord for this opportunity to look into Your Word again. We ask for divine illumination, we ask for clear utterance, we ask also for understanding on the part of our listeners.
At this point we pray that each one of us will have an obedient heart, even to act on Your Word in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We thank God for how far He has led us in the course of this series of studies on the Christian family.

In the last broadcast, we looked at the principles of the Genesis Chapter 3 marriage and some of the interruptions the devil brought into the Christian family. As we go on in this series, we perceive that we need to study what exactly is God’s purpose and what is the intention of God for the relationship between the husband and wife: what are their roles and responsibilities? Today as I begin to do that introduction, I am praying that God Himself will grant you a peculiar understanding into His Word in this aspect in the Name of Jesus Christ.

As we take our Bibles, I would like us to read again Genesis Chapter 2 and we shall read verse 18 and proceed to read from verses 21 to 25 trusting that God Himself will lead us and help us in this series. (KJV).

Gen 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Verse 21
Gen 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

Gen 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Gen 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

May God bless His Word into our hearts in Jesus Name. Amen.

I to draw your attention unto what exactly is the purpose of God in instituting your home as we begin this particular study today. It is from that understanding that we may be able to build what should be your role, what should be your responsibility and what should be the pattern of relationship between the husband and the wife as the Lord designed it to be in a Christian family.

First of all, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that verse 18 of the Scripture we have just read says “I will make him an help meet for him.” Again we are realising very quickly here that marriage was ordained in order to provide a help for the man to be able to do what God has committed to his hand. So I would like to say quickly that the purpose for which God established your marriage is that it would be a help, it would be a support, it would be a kind of input and provision of God in order for you to be able to carry out the very purpose for which God has sent you into the world. And for that purpose we saw that God called the wife “a help that is uniquely fitting for her husband.”

So as far as God is concerned, and I want you to begin to believe it, your marriage is supposed to bring help to your life! Your marriage is supposed to bring support unto your life: it is supposed to help you accomplish the will of God even the call of God and the ministry that God has placed in your hand. And we realise that if there is no work to be done, actually there would have been no need for a help! So I want your understanding to start from that point because we will find out that the roles of the husband and the roles of the wife stem from this aspect when we consider each of their roles as we progress in this study by the grace of God.

Let us quickly check Malachi chapter 2 verses 14 to 15 as we consider another purpose of God in instituting marriage. Please turn your Bible quickly, I trust that God will help you to follow us in this. I read from King James Version (KJV) before I come back to read from the New International Version, NIV.

Mal 2:14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.

Mal 2:15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
(KJV)

If I read that from the New International Version we might be able to understand it faster. I would read from verse 13 in this instance.

Mal 2:13 Another thing you do: You flood the Lord’s altar with tears. You weep and wail because He no longer pays attention to your offerings or accepts them with pleasure from your hands.

Mal 2:14 You ask, Why? It is because the Lord is acting as the witness between you and the wife of your youth, because you have broken faith with her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant

Husband! Again I want you to come to an understanding here that the Bible says God has created your wife to be your partner. Now what does that mean? It means God created your wife and brought you into this relationship for partnership.
Now,when you say somebody is your partner, it means she is a person that partakes of your life, of your destiny and of the things that God wanted you to accomplish in life. She has become your partner.

Now, if you turn your Bible again to the book of 1 Peter chapter 3, I would like us to quickly read verse 7.

1Pe 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
(KJV)

I would like us to see this Scripture from the Living Bible but before that let us take it from the NIV first

1Pe 3:7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
(NIV)

1Pe 3:7 You husbands must be careful of your wives, being thoughtful of their needs and honouring them as the weaker sex. Remember that you and your wife are partners in receiving God’s blessings , and if you don’t treat her as you should, your prayers will not get ready answers.
(The Living Bible)

I want us to stop there. I pray that God gives you understanding.

I want you to get to know each of the issues the Bible verse we have read raises before I go ahead today. Your wife is your partner in receiving all God’s blessings unto your life. It looks to me as if in God’s plan of marriage in Genesis chapter 2, once God brought in your wife into your life, you can no longer act alone: she has become your partner in everything you can receive from God. You can no longer walk alone! You can no longer even stand before God alone! God intends that for everything he wants to do for you, your wife must be in perfect agreement. I see God wanting to answer every prayer you pray, for you remember that Jesus Christ said “If two of you shall agree as touching anything that they ask, it shall be done for them of my Father in heaven.” Mat. 18:19. It looks as if God, wanting to make our prayer lives strong and our ability to receive blessings from heaven strong, has designed harmony between a husband and his wife as a vantage point for His numerous blessings to come to the home!

So I want to say as I am going on today that your wife is not just a help in your life - God says she is your partner! She is a partner with you in receiving God’s blessings! And it’s like you have a joint account in the presence of God! You have only one account in the presence of God! And I would like to say it like this: God recognises only one account for you and your wife in heaven. Now, you all understand what it means to operate a joint account in our banking system: you realise that if there are two signatories to an account and the second signatory is not available, you can never withdraw anything from that bank account! That is what IPet3:7 is saying - that you should remember that you and your wife are partners in receiving God’s blessings and if you don’t treat her as you should, your prayers will not get ready answers. May God help you to know that.

Now, you see the same thing that the Holy Spirit is beginning to bring about in the book of Malachi that we earlier read. In Malachi 2, I would like us to read verses 13 and 14 again.

Now, you see the same thing that the Holy Spirit is beginning to bring about in the book of Malachi that we earlier read. In Malachi 2, I would like us to read verses 13 and 14 again.

Mal 2:13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.

Mal 2:14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
(KJV)

Look at that Scripture again. It says “And you say why is God not paying attention to your offering and accepting it with pleasure from your hand? You ask - why? The Lord answers and says ‘It is because I the Lord am acting as a witness between you and the wife of your youth: because you have broken faith with her though she is your partner and the wife of your marriage covenant.’ ” I want you to pause there and listen.

Now, by God’s design - all of you listening to me today please pay close attention to this matter - once you are married, once you come into a relationship with a woman: God regards you and that woman as one! That is why in the book of Matthew chapter 19, let’s look at verses 4, 5 and 6. I am praying that you should get this so that it can be a proper foundation that we can progressively build on as we continue in this study.

Mat 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

Mat 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

Mat 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

May God help you to know that once you are married to your wife or to your husband you are no more two. You are no more two! You can no longer say “I am this and I am that.” No! You are no more two but one flesh. The Bible says “What therefore God has joined together let no man put asunder.” As far as God is concerned (and in His presence) you are no more two! I pray that God would help you to understand that. God doesn’t have two separate accounts for you and your wife again! Even the ministry He has called you to accomplish as far as God is concerned, He is not looking at you as a Pastor or Preacher. On that pulpit and in the discharge of your ministry outside the church and everywhere, God is not considering you as an individual anymore: you are no more two but one! And that is why it is not Biblical for a husband to be pursuing something here for God and the wife is over there pursuing something altogether separate and different, and the whole thing is uncoordinated. No! that is never the purpose of God. The purpose of God is that that woman that God brought into your life, she is a partner: a partner with you in life, a partner with you in ministry, a partner with you in all that you are going to receive as God’s blessings. And God expects only one account in His presence for the two of you, one account for each and every area of your lives!

So the Bible says “Be careful how you treat your wife. Be careful how you relate with her because you are joint heirs! She is the partner with you in all God wants to give you. If you dont treat her as you should your prayers will not get ready-answers!” Malachi chapter 2 again says that this is the reason why God will not pay close attention to your tears, to your crying, to your weeping. I want you to listen Madam: I see you going from one prayer-house to another, from one prophet to another one. Maybe you are going from one church to another asking people to pray for you, maybe they are burning incense on your behalf, or they are even pouring anointing oil (so called) on your head! But while all of these is going on, you and your husband are in disagreement. You have not submitted to your husband, you know that he has something in mind against you. I want to tell you: your prayers will never, never be answered.

One of the greatest hindrances to prayer is disharmony between husband and wife!

When you and your wife are not living in correct terms, may I tell you that there is nothing you are doing that receives any attention in the presence of God! In Malachi, the priests are asking: “Why is God not accepting our sacrifices? Why is God not recognising our offerings and our services?” The Lord said - this is the reason: “Because I the Lord am acting as the witness between you and the wife of your youth.” And I want you to note that when God brings two people together in relationship as husband and wife, God is watching. God is a witness: He is witnessing what is going on in your bedroom. God is a witness to how you are treating your wife and how you are treating your husband! And He says “You see, I cannot pay attention to your prayers because you have dealt treacherously, you have broken faith with the wife of your youth. You have not kept to your promise - the promise you made on the day of your wedding! You have broken that covenant.”

And God says she is your partner. If you look at that Malachi 2 Scripture very well, you will notice that it says “Yet is she your partner i.e. regardless of what you do and regardless of how you are going up and down, she is your p-a-r-t-n-e-r!” I see some husbands listening to me today, they prefer to relate to their friends - their friends outside - than to their wives! They prefer to confide in all those men and women outside than to confide in their wives. I will want to say to you: all those brothers and all those sisters, all those friends, all those relatives you have - they may be good, they may be wonderful, they may be kind, but they are not your partners! They are not your recognised partners in the Kingdom. God never made them your partners! When it comes to receiving the consignment of blessing that God meant for your life, your wife and yourself must be in agreement! You cannot walk-out on your wife and walk into the church and expect that God is going to recognise your prayer: it is not possible. Madam! you cannot finish quarreling with your husband and you think you can be on the pulpit singing and shouting and prophesying and God will recognise you. No way!!!

And I want to say to you today: one of the reasons why prayer is not answered in the church today is because many, many homes are broken down! Many families are in disarray! Several Pastors are on the pulpit right now - they are preaching at the expense of a proper relationship with their wives! I wonder where you are going, whosoever you are praying for is unfortunate because your prayer will never be answered, your request will never get acceptance in the presence of God! Whatsoever you are doing when your family relationship is faulty - I tell you, you better stop it! You better stop it. Why don’t you go back home right now; Pastor go back home: go and solve the problem in your family!!

Evangelist! I know you want to preach - fine, thank God for your zeal to preach; but your family is in disarray, your wife is in sorrow: go back home right now, go and settle that before you come and do anything for God! That is the Word of God!

If all the ministers of the gospel will understand what we are saying today: that God does not regard ministry when the family is in disarray, when the harmony between husband and wife is broken down there will be a turn-around in all our Christian character. God Himself is a witness; we don’t need to call any other witness - God Himself is there! What most people cannot see when you come out, God sees! You know many of you have problems in your family, yet when you come out, you come out in the same uniform - matching colours of garments you wear! You go up and down looking good as if what you present to us is what is actually going on in your bedroom! God is a witness. And because God is a witness for every marriage, we dare not pretend, we dare not act as if He is not there. He is there! He is the silent Listener to every conversation, He is the Unseen Guest at every table, at every meal. God the Father is there, seating there and watching what is going on in your heart, where your affection has shifted! Maybe your love has shifted!

There are some wives listening to me today, your love and your loyalty has shifted from your husband and you are using your children as objects of your love and your loyalty! God the Father says - I am a witness!

If you want your family project to continue, if you want prayer to be answered on the family altar. If you want God to begin to bless you, if you want God to send you your promotion and you want God to bless your life, then I want to call you right now - return to your first love! Return back to your first love with your wife or with your husband! Go back! God created her to be a help for your life, God created her to be your partner!

Now, the Bible says “They are no more two but one flesh.” They are no more two - that is what the Lord Jesus said in Matthew chapter 19 verse 6.

Mat 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

They are no more two! What is the meaning of that? May God help you to understand that once you and that woman came together in relationship as husband and wife, you are no more two! You cannot be saying “My mother! My mother! My mother!” You cannot be talking about your own father; No! No! No! You are no more two. I would like to say to all men, all women, all relatives that this couple that you are seeing are no more two but one flesh. God recognises them so and you also must recognise them so!

So the Bible says They are no more two but one flesh! They are no more two in their thinking, no more two in their ambition; they are no more two in their program, no more two in all they want to do. They are no more two even in their ministry but they are one flesh! What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.

Just before I stop here, let me ask you: how have you been keeping your relationship? Your wife is your partner, she is your companion, she is the one that God recognises as your co-signatory in your bank account in the heavens. When you break your relationship you can be sure that your cheques will be kept pending, it will bounce! God will not honour it! But if you will return today, God will restore the harmony He designed into your relationship like you had never known!

I wish that you and your wife, you and your husband can call yourselves back and return today. Whatsoever the trouble might be, she is your partner! I wish that you could look at your husband today and say “Yes, you are my partner in life, you are my partner as far as my destiny is concerned! You are my partner as far as my ministry is concerned! You are my partner as far as my progress is concerned; if you are not going with me I am not going from here.” If God will help you to know that He has bound you together and there is nothing that may come that should separate you; the Word of God said ‘What therefore God has joined together, let not man, let not man put asunder.’

Before we get to pray with you, I want to ask you these few questions; I want to ask you - What do you want to be in your life? What do you want God to bless you with? As long as you and your wife are not in perfect harmony, you are the hindrance to arriving at your own destiny! God created her to be a help in your life, not a trouble and not a distraction! By the grace of God as we have now come to look at roles, responsibilities and relationships within the family, you will soon understand what we are talking about.

But today you can bow your head and pray, you can hold your husband by the hand and say “Look, I am your partner: I am no longer going to be against you” And you the husband should hold your wife and say to her “You are no longer going to walk alone because we are no longer two but one flesh!”

Bow your head right now. If your home is broken down, God is a witness, confess to Him! Mr. Man, dont hide it, God knows what has happened! God knows the other friend that you have brought into your relationship: confess it to the Lord right now that God may remember you, that God may bless you, that the Spirit of God might visit you afresh. Don’t say you are a Pastor! You cannot cover this matter with preaching, it will not work! You cannot do sacrifices and think God will take it: obedience is better than sacrifice!

Bow your head right now and reach out for your husband, reach out for your wife and settle the issue and come back before the Lord and say “Lord! here is my partner, help us to stand together in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen”

Prayer: Thank You Lord. We bless You for many couples that are out there kneeling and confessing. Lord, we ask O God that today as they are confessing to one another they will receive forgiveness, they will know joy in the home. And O God that brother whose home the devil has entered and broken up with pride, Lord we ask that the devil be cast down today and You Yourself will have your way in every life today as they are praying for we have prayed in Jesus Name. Amen

A Revelation of: The Seven (7) Things God Hates

Friends this is what i discovered trying to know the things God hate and this what found out.
I know that your life will be changed as it was mine as you gain understanding of what God meant when He had Solomon write, “Six things the Lord hates; in fact, seven are detestable to him.” —Proverbs 6:16-19

Keep your heart clean from these and follow the Ten Commandments and the commandments He has given us.
Six things the Lord hates; in fact, seven are detestable to Him:

  • (4) Arrogant Eyes
  • (5) A Lying Tongue
  • (6) Hands That Shed Innocent Blood
  • (7) A Heart That Plots Wicked Schemes
  • (1) Feet Eager to Run to Evil
  • (2) A Lying Witness Who Gives False Testimony
  • (3) One Who Stirs Up Trouble Among Brothers
NOTE: The numbers in brackets “( )” are the order in which the Lord gave them.

Arrogant Eyes: Don’t look at others and hold yourself higher because you know more truths then they do, or because you have a gift that another does not. They could look at you the same way. We are not all the same.
If you feel the need for arrogance, or to be arrogant, look at what about that person makes you feel arrogant, and turn to your heart and ask, “Why does this bother ME?” Then fix it and the arrogance will be gone. If you don’t fix it, you will struggle as you try to, or choose to walk without arrogance.
John responded, “Master, we saw someone driving out demons in Your name, and we tried to stop him because he does not follow us.” “Don’t stop him,” Jesus told him, “because whoever is not against you is for you.” — Luke 9:49-50

A Lying Tongue: We aren’t to be saying things as truths in order to get ahead; or, to be seen as better than you are; or, to cover something shameful. We also don’t want to speak untruths purposely to appear smarter or more holy.
But that is not how you learned about the Messiah, assuming you heard Him and were taught by Him, because the truth is in Jesus: You took off your former way of life, the old man that is corrupted by deceitful desires; Since you put away lying, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, because we are members of one another. — Ephesians 4:20-21, 25

Hands That Shed Innocent Blood: Destroying innocent or blameless people by killing their will, their dignity, their gift given by God. By putting people down in these areas as harmless as this one may seem, it allows for worse things to come in.
(This led to Saul’s desire to kill David. It started out emotionally and then physically.)
Saul was furious and resented this song. “They credited tens of thousands to David,” he complained, “but they only credited me with thousands. What more can he have but the kingdom?” So Saul watched David jealousy from that day forward. The next day an evil spirit from God took control of Saul, and he began to rave inside the palace. — 1Samual 18:8-10

A Heart That Plots Wicked Schemes: Speaking, thinking, wishing, spiteful, hurtful—by doing any of these only feeds the flesh. We need to train our hearts to purposely practice kindness, gentleness, etc. (Galatians 5:22-23). Otherwise we move nowhere.
Though they intend to harm you and devise a wicked plan, they will not prevail. —Psalms 21:11

Feet Eagar to Run to Evil: Going to places you know God isn’t in the middle of: TV, books, friends, parties, drugs, booze. Instead of running to Him you run to something “evil” for comfort. Take time to go to God and get right and then seek out what made you run, or want to run.
Finally be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.
— Ephesians 6: 10-13

Lying Witness Who Gives False Testimony: You don’t know or understand the truths from God, but are spreading around untruths to others and not allowing them the right to grow. Teach your spouse (understood that ‘spouse’ also meant children and/or family) what God shows you and the one listening needs to accept it as truth.
He answered them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been granted to you, but to those outside, everything comes in parables so that they may look and look, yet not perceive; they may listen and listen, yet not understand; otherwise, they might turn back—and be forgiven.”
He also said, “Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand? For nothing is concealed except to be revealed, and nothing hidden except to come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, he should listen! Then He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear. By the measure you use, it will be measured and added to you. For to the one who has, it will be given, and from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.” —Mark 4:11-12, 21-25

One Who Stirs Up Trouble Among Brothers: Don’t gossip maliciously! Don’t tell a person that someone is doing something on purpose for the purpose that you know it will upset, bother or anger the person you are telling. If you do not know if it will bother them or not, even if you think it won’t, don’t say it if you INTEND to get a malicious reaction from the one you are telling. It will or could cause them to then sin in anger. If the one you are “gossiping” about is doing wrong – go to them and help them.
For we hear that there are some among you who walk irresponsibility, not working at all, but interfering with the work [of others]. Now we command and exhort such people, by the Lord Jesus Christ, that quietly working, they may eat their own bread. Brothers, do not grow weary in doing good. And if anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take note of that person; don’t associate with him, so that he may be ashamed. Yet don’t treat him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

A 24-year-old Undergraduate builds working helicopter

A 24-year-old undergraduate from Nigeria, Mubarak Muhammed Abudullahi, a physics student, spent eight months building the helicopter above out of old cars and bike parts.

The 12-meter-long aircraft, which has never flown above a height of seven feet, is powered by a secondhand 133 horsepower engine from a Honda Civic. In the basic cockpit there are two Toyota car seats, with a couple more in the cabin behind. Controls are simple, with an ignition button, an accelerator lever to control vertical thrust and a joystick that provides balance and bearing. A camera beneath the chopper connected to a small screen on the dash gives the pilot ground vision, and he communicates via a small transmitter.

Mubarak says he learned the basics of helicopter flying Mubarak’s new creation will be powered by a brand-new motor straight from Taiwan, normally found in motorbikes.

Patience Jonathan was in a bad state of health on arrival – German hospital

Nigeria’s first lady Patience Jonathan was in a bad state of health when she arrived last week at the Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany, a spokesperson for the hospital has told LEADERSHIP.

The hospital’s official, who confirmed that initial records showed that Mrs. Patience Jonathan had earlier been treated for food poisoning in Nigeria before being brought to the Horst Schmidt Klinik, however, said she was responding to treatment after she had undergone a major surgery for a ruptured appendix to remove the poisons in her intestine.

During an eight-minute telephone chat yesterday through telephone with a senior consultant of the hospital who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Mrs. Jonathan was brought to the hospital early last week after the management of the hospital had been contacted and briefed on the deteriorating health condition of the first lady.

She said that Mrs. Jonathan was getting better but added that the hospital management would ensure that she was fully fit before she would be allowed to go back to Nigeria.

When our correspondent demanded further details, the hospital official said it was improper and unethical for her to make such details available to a third party, ending the call and refusing to pick up subsequent calls.

Meanwhile, a reliable source in Aso Rock disclosed to LEADERSHIP that the decision to take the First Lady to Germany for better treatment was borne out of the fact that her medical aides in Nigeria complained that they could not get accurate diagnosis as a result of insufficient medical facilities in the country.

It would be recalled that the first lady’s media aide, Mr. Ayo Osinlu, had confirmed her foreign trip at the beginning of the week, but said Patience Jonathan was only taking a rest abroad and not seeking medical attention. Osinlu said that the First Lady is expected back in the country this week.

Meanwhile, the Special Assistant on Media to the First Lady, Ayo Osinlu yesterday dispelled report by an online media, claiming that the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan was air lifted to Germany for medical treatment.
Osinlu who spoke in a telephone call put to him by State House Correspondents from the council chamber at the presidential villa, Abuja, maintained that he can be quoted authoritatively on the matter that the report were all lies, adding that even at gun point, he had no more information to give on the issue.

He said for now, he still had no idea when the First Lady would return to the country, even as it was not in his capacity to find out. Ha added that he had no fresh information to add aside what he earlier said that was reported in the Media on Monday.

The Media Assistant to the First Lady said, “Nobody is going to put a gun on my head and force me to talk when I have no fresh information, my position is not different from what I told Daily Trust”

“I did not kill my wife” – Nollywood actor, Rich Oganiru cries out

Nollywood actor, Rich Oganiru
Following earlier report by a Lagos soft-sell alleging that Nollywood actor, Rich Oganiru killed his wife, the actor has opened up on the issue. He told another Lagos soft-sell magazine, High Society that what he was accused of was false.

According to what High Society magazine reported, his (Oganiru) late wife took ill over five months ago and was battling fibroid. He explained that they opted for some kind of treatment supervised by German doctors which will prevent normal surgery. But to his dismay, the fibroid kept growing back and causing his wife more pain.

Later, they decided to go spiritual and moved from Abuja to Prophet TB Joshua’s synagogue in Ikotun where
the prophet gave them emergency appointment based on his personal recognition.

His wife, he said, then suggested they move to her brother’s apartment at the Airforce Barracks in shasha. While there, she rejected all the provisions that the actor bought and insisted on having pap prepared by her sister at her brother, Group captain David Aluko’s home.

After the meal, he said her condition became worse and they decide to move her to Synagogue since the appointment was a few hours from then. Oganiru said his wife refused and told him to take her to the hospital, this he did with the aid of her brother Group captain David. But at the military hospital gate, the woman died.

That according to him was when the problem started as the brother became hostile despite his condition which resulted in his being medicated as the shock of the death of his beloved wife raised his blood pressure. Later when he came to, he discovered that his Air-force brother in-law had deposited his wife’s body at the morgue and ordered him, Oganiru to go tell their parents that his sister was dead.

This the actor said he will do, but demanded the death certificate so as to present to his in-laws to clear himself since the Air-force officer had started insinuating all sorts. Group Captain David he said ordered him out of the barracks and he left to his hotel room where he discovered his wife’s stuff had been removed and his belongings searched and scattered.

According to Oganiru: “They even seized the keys to my jeep and my international passport. I had to beg for my things to be returned. When I got the keys and my passport back and David insisted that
I cannot have the morgue tag for my wife, I left for our home in Abuja.

On arriving there, they had locked me out and carted away eveything that belonged to my wife and even our wedding pictures. Eventually I was allowed inside.

Three days later some policemen from force headquarters came to arrest me based on a petition written about me that I killed my wife. I was kept in cell with Boko Haram members and I was the one washing for them. The police didn’t care about my medication.

When they saw my health was getting bad, they released me. I was asked to report two days later to face my accusers. I took some journalist to the house to see how they vandalized my things. That same evening, a group of policemen came in commando style, broke down my window and said I was under
arrest.

That was how they took me to Asokoro police station after beating me mercilessly and I was bleeding from ear and nose, A few day later, a professor friend came and told them that they should release me or charge me.He insisted that they should do the autopsy and charge me based on that. When nothing was found after the autopsy was conducted, they let me go.

Meanwhile these heartless people have gone ahead to bury my wife without my consent. Now the next thing is that they are on the internet alleging that I poisoned my rich wife for her property.

Let me tell you, my wife was a hardworking woman but about being rich, i don’t know, otherwise why did we scrape to the bone to find money for her
treatment? We live in a rented apartment, so i don’t know the property I killed her for that I wanted to inherit.

See, the callous people said I also killed my two former wives. My ex wife is alive, healthy and bubbling with my two
children. But I know there is God and I must fight this to a logical conclusion.

God is with me and my accusers will soon be put to shame. Thank you for calling me to find out the truth.”
Thanks And God Bless

“N5000 note has come to Stay” – Jonathan Insists

Despite the outcry and protest of concerned Nigerians the introduction of N5000 note into the nation’s money market, President Goodluck, Aliko Dangote and other top Nigerians nod to the entry of the high currency.

The National Economic Management Team (NEMT) – a conclave of some senior government officials and prominent businessmen – also blessed the idea, following a briefing by Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly has asked the CBN to pull the brakes on the proposal – for now.

But NEMT argued that it was the primary responsibility of the CBN to effect changes in the nation’s currency with the approval of the President.

The economic team also allayed the fear that the note will heighten inflation, saying that there is no link between inflation and currency denomination.

Besides, the group argued that the introduction of the higher currency will help shore up the naira’s value as most people who store money in hard currency will now embrace the high denomination.

The NEMT, which is headed by the President, comprises the Minister of Finance and coordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sanusi, Minister of National Planning Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, Director General of the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), Director General of the Bureau for Public Enterprises (BPE), one representative each of governors of the South and the North as well as key private sector players.

Usman spoke at the end of yesterday’s NEMT meeting presided over by President Jonathan.

He explained that contrary to criticisms that the introduction of the N5, 000 notes will bring about inflation in the economy, the new denomination according to him, will rather assist in big business transaction.

The note, he said, will not be high in circulation but will be used mostly by the banks.

His words: “Clearly, the N5000 note will not lead to higher inflation. There is absolutely no link. I am an economist; I have been deputy governor (Operations) of the Central Bank.

“During the last review of the introduction of N1000 note and the various coins, I was deeply involved; it was my responsibility at the Central Bank.

“There is absolutely no link between inflation and the currency denomination.

“So, obviously, the discussion today was basically to endorse.

“Mr. President had already approved; that is the only requirement by law. The CBN is to propose and Mr. President is to approve. And since Mr. President has approved, really, what is important is to just explain.

“I personally had some concerns about the coins but since some discussion with the CBN governor, he has actually clarified that even the media didn’t understand. The coins are being introduced on an introductory basis so that if people accept them and are using them, then gradually they will withdraw the other notes but they will run concurrently with the notes. Those were my concerns, initially, because you remember during my time in the CBN, we introduced the one naira and two naira coins.

“Unfortunately, they were not utilized at all. Part of that is really the value of one naira and two naira today; what can you buy? So because they are higher denomination, they may be accepted.

“I think even that aspect didn’t come out well in the communication and so the CBN is going to communicate to Nigerians that the coins will run concurrently with the note. They are like testing the waters; if they get accepted and are being utilized, only then will they take subsequent actions.”

Atedo Peterside, a banker and NEMT member argued that besides the fact that it does not add to increase in cost of printing of currency, money, being a store of value, the higher the denomination, the better it is for the economy as those who made money legally and illegally will want keep their loot in naira rather than hard currency.

He said: “If I were the CBN governor, I will prefer to print N10, 000 notes. Last year, Nigeria spent N47billion to print these small, small notes. If we were printing bigger denominations, we will print fewer number and you make phenomenal savings. Secondly, money is a store of value, all these thieves, rogues and vagabonds running around in various states and all over the country, when they steal money, they will want to keep it outside the banking system.

Access Bank Managing Director Aigboje Aig-Imoukuede described the reactions trailing the N5000 note as unfortunate.

He said: “It is very rare for you to have a central bank that does not look at the issue of currency management and issue new notes from time to time based on the reality of the economy. In the case of Nigeria, our economy is such that a N5000 note which is in effect a $30note is not strange.

“The greatest argument I have heard about is causing of inflation; the other argument is that it will cost money to introduce the new note. There is no relationship between the issuance of higher legal tender and inflation. It is unfortunate that some have misled people into thinking that it will lead into higher inflation.

“Every central bank by the nature of currency management will issue new notes all the time. So, printing of notes is an ongoing operation that every central bank engages in.

Frontline businessman Alhaji Aliko Dangote said: “The introduction of the N5000 note has nothing to do with inflation. I think it is even to protect the economy. The cost of printing is not anything different from the amount they are using in printing any other note. It is the same cost.

World's shortest man and woman meet for the first time in history to launch .... (Read 8212 times)

People said it was always going to be a big event even though it involved two very small people......

Chandra Bahadur Dangi, the world’s shortest man and Jyoti Amge, the world’s shortest woman met for the first time to celebrate the organi...
sation which made them famous.

The 18-year-old from India and the 72-year-old Nepalese both made headlines last winter when they were given their titles by the Guinness World Records.

Chandra and Jyoti may be generations apart but were joking and laughing as they posed for photos with the new book, both dressed in traditional outfits from their native countries.

The photoshoot for the release of the book gave them another record to add to their list – it is the first time the world’s smallest man and woman have met in recorded history.

The book placed between them looks gigantic compared to the pair, but is in fact only 1ft high....

I was wondering if you would consider a love relationship with any of them?

Aki & Paw Paw see me as threat -Ibrahim Musa

The brouhaha raging in the midst of the small sized actors in the Nollywood industry could no longer be contented as one of them, Ibro Ibrahim Musa has taking the showdown attitude which he receives from two Nollywood actors, Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme popularly known as Aki N’Ukwa to the public.

According to the Benue state born actor who has so far featured in over sixty movies disclosed that the duo believe that his entrance into the Nollywood industry would bring down their longtime built reputation and fame to nothing, now enraging them to ponder hatreds on him as the surviving actor. “They believe I want to take over from them, while that is not my intention. The industry is so big that it can contain whatever good talent anybody is coming with. I have received series of report from people, both on pages of newspaper on how they are biffing me,” he said.

On if he is muttering intentions of hitting the formers back following the level of disrespect he receives from them, he said, “Not that I don’t care, but what keeps me going is the talent in me. Your talent is the determining factor, the level prominence and feed back you receive from your fans will tell you if you are trying or not. So, I keep telling them to take it easy, because they have their own fans while I have mine. I see and take them as my brothers”.

Having made his sojourn into the Nollywood industry in 2001, Ibrahim admitted that his achievement could be measured with that of when the entertainment industry took its place in the country. For him, Nollywood has changed his life, as he could boldly testify to it, “the kind of people I go out and hang out with now are mostly top business friends. Sometimes I wonder if I would have achieved the position I have gotten in life without being an actor,” he asserted

Jimoh Ibrahim sacks All the Staff of Air Nigeria,Shuts down Airline

Jimoh Ibrahim
Jimoh Ibrahim says he’s closing the airline to enable him restrategise for survival

All Air Nigeria flight operations nationwide are to be shut down effective from Monday next week.

It was gathered that the directive for the closure of the airline’s operations was handed down by its billionaire businessman owner, Jimoh Ibrahim, who also reportedly ordered that all, but 50 of the workers on the company’s payroll, be sacked with immediate effect.

The Airline’s Public Affairs Manager, Sam Ogbogoro, could not confirm nor deny the report, although he directed inquiries at the Chairman of the company.

“I am sorry I don’t have any information on this. Why don’t you reach Air Nigeria Chairman directly,” Mr. Ogbogoro told our reporter who called on Wednesday from Abuja to confirm the report. The manager advised the reporter to work with the information available to him.

But it was gathered that the decision to order the temporary shutdown of the airline operations was as a result of allegations of “staff disloyalty and the anti-business environment in the aviation sector”.

The airline, which had continued to run regional and international flights after the government suspended its domestic operations on bankruptcy allegations a few months ago, said the decision to shut down flight operations would remain in force for at least one year.

The company however expressed regrets for any inconveniences the decision would cause its passengers on all the routes across the country, and advised affected customers to contact agents from whom they had purchased their tickets for appropriate attention and necessary refunds.

Mr. Ibrahim assured customers the airline would survive its current ordeals, adding that the decision to suspend operation is for the good of all stakeholders.

“Corporations are like individuals who naturally will get sick and the usual thing to do is to admit them in the hospital, either for corporate surgery or for treatment, as the case may be,” Mr. Ibrahim is quoted to have said.

“The period of the temporary shut down of flight operations is to enable management to find a cure for the problem that have been identified.”

BREAKING NEWS:Petroleum Minister,Diezani Alison-Madueke Rushed To London Hospital

A few days after breaking the news that President Goodluck Jonathan’s wife, Patience Jonathan, was hospitalized in Germany, it has been learnt that Diezani Alison-Madueke, Nigeria’s Minister for Petroleum Resources, is also receiving treatment in a London hospital for a serious medical condition.

Sources disclosed that Mrs. Madueke’s condition did not require immediate hospitalization, but described it as “potentially serious.” The source, who is a medical doctor, was only willing to divulge that the minister’s diagnosis is for a condition related to abnormal cell development in her body. The doctor declined to disclose if the diagnosis was a form of cancer, but said Mrs. Alison-Madueke’s condition “assumed a dire dimension recently.”

The medical source and another source close to the minister’s family said that, prior to her recent hospitalization, Mrs. Alison-Madueke had made monthly medical trips to the UK. One source disclosed that she sometimes used private jets arranged by Kola Aluko, a business tycoon with whom she has business ties.

It was gathered that the Petroleum minister owns a jet that is kept in trust for her by Walter Wagbatsoma, an oil marketer recently charged by the EFCC for involvement in oil subsidy scam.

It was also learnt that the minister hid the medical nature of her trips to London by telling friends and other government officials that she was going to see her children living in the UK. “For this trip three days ago, Madam said she was escorting her children who were returning to London to continue their schooling,” one sources said.

Another source revealed that the minister flew to London few days after accompanying Mr. Jonathan on an official trip to Anambra State. Even though the minister is married, there have been persistent speculations linking her to a romantic relationship with President Jonathan.

It was learnt that the president’s ailing wife had complained to her close friends that Mrs. Alison-Madueke had caused her condition because the oil minister wants to take her place at all cost.

Meanwhile, a source said that Mrs. Jonathan’s condition has stabilized in Germany where she is being treated for food poisoning. The source said the First Lady came down with food poisoning in Dubai where she had gone on a secret mission to explore undergoing some procedure.

The nature of the procedure remains a mystery, but a source at the Presidency said he knew that Mrs. Jonathan close friend, Bola Shagaya, had been persuading her to see a Lebanon-based cosmetic surgeon.

The source added that the First Lady was interested in enhancing her looks. The Presidency remains officially silent regarding the nature of Mrs. Jonathan’s current condition in a hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany. Instead, Presidency sources have been releasing snippets of various versions of her condition to different news outlets.

A source in Abuja said she suspected that Mrs. Jonathan might have undergone a procedure in Dubai from which she got an infection.
